The following works were developed as part of my MA thesis project Mimicry & the Villa of Mysteries, as a way to reinvestigate the frescoes of ancient Pompeii through the cyberfeminist lens. To recontextualise and expand on the language of the fresco, elements were digitally redrawn giving three dimensionality to the architectural motifs. Working in both building scale from the second stage and ornamental detail of the third, this translation allowed for elements to exist beyond the framework of their original walls and derives new meaning as they can exist in a scaleless and boundless realm.
